Renewal

Fall is a time for change and renewal. Take a moment to discover something new, make a change in your schedule, renew a commitment. For us, it has been a renewal of family time. Life is full with our four girls, but we are taking moments to enjoy the crisp evenings around the fire pit with the serene splash of water in the background.

STAYCATION STRATEGY:
Remodel and Renovate

This is the trend and the results are in! According to a study published in the Journal of Environmental Horticulture, for each dollar spent on landscape, a homeowner can expect a $1.35 returned. Whether you have been in your home for years; are planning to move and need a "curb appeal" spruce up; or you have just moved into an existing home, think about the three "R's: remodel, renovate, and refresh! We partner with Julie Smith & Associates to seamlessly integrate your indoor and outdoor projects.

SERVICE SELECTION:
Fall Fertilization

Fall is the best time of year for feeding your lawn. During this time of year, your lawn is able to store nutrients to sustain it over cold winter months, resulting in a "fresh bounce" for next spring. Now is the time to schedule your fall pruning; fertilization; property clean-up; and preparation for the winter months. Don't delay, fall tends to be our busiest season and we look forward to adding you to the production schedule

COURAGE HOUSE UPDATE:
Preparing to Open!

Courage House Nor Cal has been “unofficially” open since May 27th of this year. Quietly—without fanfare, public announcements, or grand openings—Courage House opened its doors and hearts to several precious young ladies (over the age of 18) who have endured more in their short lives than most of us could ever imagine. They are in training to be peer mentors and staff at Courage House. Courage House is just weeks from submitting their application to the California State Licensing Board. This license must be obtained to officially open their doors to minor children rescued from sex trafficking. The plan is to start with six children and then build out the 52-acre property (a safe house location) for seventy. But there is still much to be done in order to make this dream come true. In addition to the license, financial commitment and partners are needed from the community. Currently, C2BU has $100,000 in the bank, which is required by the California License Bureau to submit the application. We need that amount each month to operate Courage House Nor Cal and Courage House Tanzania. Because we will be a licensed group home, the State of California will fund a portion of that monthly expense. However, we can’t open until we have monthly partners committed to providing these children a home.
